I'm from Smithtown New York and immediately after high school I enlisted in the Marine Corps as a security guard and infantry rifleman. Being in the Marine Corps I've served in a security force battalion and an infantry battalion. Over my 5 years in the Marine Corps I've always been huge on my fitness. Not just because how how physically demanding the work can be but because I enjoy it. I'm leaving the Marine Corps to pursue bigger and better opportunities and to finally have more time around my wife and three beautiful dogs. I have years now of managing multiple marines from work problems to their personal problems as well as their physicalfitness. I would train my squad of marines five times a week to ensure they are capable of anything they could be tasked with. This guy is a lifelong amateur photographer and vintage photo guru with extensive experience in photo cleanup/restoration and image retouching/editing, as well as decent experience in largely photo-based art and graphics design/creation, and image compositing. For all of that, Adobe Photoshop is my tool of choice. Please note that I am not merely technically adept at this kind of work: it's a pursuit of passion for me. Each image is unique, and each requires an equally unique approach and level of care and attention; especially the vintage, historical photos for which I have great affinity. And most especially those precious old treasures that we keep safe in our family photo albums. Similar to the photo and image work, I've also been researching military aviation history for most of my fifty-plus years, and writing about it on websites, blogs, and in small, mostly local publications for more than thirty. This is another strong passion of mine, and I consider it more of a calling. Though my research/writing experience runs largely along that specialized vein, I have also tackled other topics, both historical and contemporary. In addition, I've done a bit of writing and some small amount of artwork inspired by my love of the Star Wars universe. Yeah, go ahead, call me a nerd. I wear that badge with pride and honor. Though I no longer regularly work in 'traditional' art mediums, I have in the past put many a pencil and brush to paper, wood, and other surfaces, and was at one time a hardcore model builder. Despite rarely engaging in these latter pursuits these days, I may put some'a that kinda stuff in my portfolio here and there, just for the heckuvit.
