Thank you for taking the time to look over my profile for the position. My unique mix of contract research in medical device and pharmaceutical studies in addition to my clinical research, medical sales and education experience combine to make me an excellent fit for this role. My Master’s is in molecular biology and I have a thorough understanding of genetics, molecular and cell biology in both theory and application from direct lab experience. In my role as a Senior Study Director, I was the only study director who managed studies covering Biocompatibility, Chemical Characterization and Genotoxicity. I averaged 45 distinct projects a month across these disciplines. I worked with clients across the United States as well as multiple overseas clients. I was the main point of contact for my clients and would provide protocols, updates to their studies and address any resulting questions or concerns that arose. I would coordinate with internal and external lab personnel, project coordinators, study directors and supervisors to complete these studies and overcome any challenges that arose. I updated the study protocols with amendments as necessary. I drafted and finalized the resulting reports for these studies and addressed client and regulatory concerns. I oversaw both GLP and non-GLP studies and am familiar with all current ISO-10993 and ICH standards. We utilized GC, HPLC, FTIR and Headspace GC for analysis. In my time at Charles River, I had the opportunity to conduct sample analysis, method validation and discovery for over 150 GLP studies in ADME/DMPK, Bioanalytical Chemistry and Immunotoxicology. I employed HPLC, GC, ELISA and other methodologies in these studies. In this role I consistently reviewed SOPs, clinical data and methods. I created and updated documentation and data to present to clients and coworkers. I worked with both animal and human studies across multiple departments. In my previous time as a GI clinical researcher, I was coauthor on 5 national publications based on our research. I conducted all of the relevant experiments, worked directly with the animals and compiled and tabulated all resulting data. These studies involved immunohistochemistry, histology, gene and protein expression. I worked with protein, DNA, RNA, animals and cell cultures. I organized this data into Excel, PowerPoint and other documents as necessary for presentations, publications and grant proposals. I have received numerous trainings in GLP/ALCOA documentation as well as ISO 10993 and ICH standards. I have assisted with CAPAs and root cause analysis investigations of studies as well as deviation review and implementation. I have been involved in FDA site inspections as well as study audits by clients. Additionally, I have extensive experience teaching a variety of science courses at the college level. I have taught both the anatomy and physiology of all body systems. I am familiar with the structures, functions and typical diseases affecting these systems. This teaching experience better allows me to explain scientific materials and concepts to diverse individuals who often possess limited scientific background or are unfamiliar with the relevant concept. I am able to relate concepts to their experience to better enable comprehension and enable better rapport. I have given over 1000 scientific presentations to diverse audiences of varying educational levels. I am comfortable presenting information in person or remotely. I have conducted presentations, seminars and posters for both research and teaching. I am able to quickly comprehend complex technical and scientific information and present it in a more easily digestible format. I look forward to discussing this position further at your earliest convenience.Molecular Biology

Hello! I have a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Molecular Physiology, I have copy-edited over 30 texts, and I am a native English speaker. I excel at coaching people on how to communicate their ideas clearly through writing. Due to my scientific work, I have a keen eye for detail, logical consistency, and clarity. I know what is expected in both published papers and theses. I specialize in working with ADHD/autistic clients as well as clients who are chronically ill. I take the time to understand your unique needs, coaching you in a style that actually works for you. I excel in providing constructive feedback that enhances not only the paper I am editing but also the overall writing skills of my clients. My goal is to make my clients self-sufficient in their writing endeavours. Over the last four years, I have edited over 20 academic biology papers, five mathematical papers, and the summary section of an FDA application for a medical device. One of my most rewarding experiences was coaching a doctoral student in education who lacked an academic background but had extensive experience as a teacher. Their professors could only tell them their writing was "not academic." Over two years, I helped them improve their writing to the point where they began advising others and were awarded "Outstanding Thesis" for their dissertation. I am deeply committed to giving you the tools and guidance I wish I had during my Ph.D., and instead had to learn the hard way. But I learned them well, and I am eager to share what I learned with you.Molecular Biology
