I’m a recent WVU grad, tuba player and composer for orchestra, concert band, small ensembles and electronics. As a composer, I have adapted folk songs by ear, translated pop into concert styles, designed my own sound patches and synthesizers from scratch and have dozens of original compositions for all manner of ensembles. As a player, I made it to the PMEA all state orchestra as a tubist, can play all low brass and piano with advanced proficiency, and have perfect pitch. I can help you out with all of the following due to my training and experience: *transcribing audio by ear into sheet music or raw MIDI data *music theory explanation/tutoring, including renaissance and romantic counterpoint as well as atonality, serialism and more *brass performance, especially low brass (and more specifically tuba!), as well as piano *compositional forms, technique, critiques of your own original music or adding my own sections for your use
