I make purposeful edits that keep the flow of the conversation going, and can serve as an assistant producer if needed. I can mix you and your guests' voices to sound full and clear, free of distracting breaths, "uhm's", and all those weird noises you didn't know your mouth makes when you talk. I can run tools to remove background noise that your mic may have picked up. I'll mix in intros, soundtracks, and special effects to draw in your listeners. I'll also deal with making sure your audio meets technical standards like ACX, so it's ready for distribution right away. Editing and mixing for video projects is welcome here. MUSIC: I have recorded, produced, and mixed several albums, EPs, and singles, although artists typically hire me just for one or two of those stages. I specialize in mixing rock, rap, hip-hop, and funk, but between mixing records and live shows, I've worked with almost every genre at some point. I can also master your music to get it ready for digital release. I'm a musician (bassist, songwriter) myself, and I approach mixing from an artistic perspective, not just a technical one. I enjoy finding creative ways to elevate the best parts of your song and creating movement and auditory interest to create an unforgettable listening experience. VIDEO EDITING/MOTION GRAPHICS: I edit in Premiere Pro and After Effects and have experience with motion graphics, color correcting, dynamic effects & transitions, animated text, utilization of b-roll, and assembling of final cuts from multiple scenes and camera angles.     I have been a musician; performing, recording, writing and teaching for 16 years now. I have spanned genres, both solo and band settings, playing for crowds as large as 2,000. I have had about 300 live performances in my career which include acting, group teaching and speaking, along with musical performances. I am perfectly happy both front and center or in the back line. I've also been recording, mixing and mastering music for the past 14 years. Started out as a necessity for the bands that I was in (for my vocal and guitar performances) because, like most bands, we didn't have the money to go get it done professionally. The demos and albums I recorded with multiple bands peaked the interest of labels and popular bands alike. My band Fall Of Ashes was in talks with a Detroit based label, Pull of Gravity was invited to play the Van's Warped Tour, Butterfly Corpse played with Red Jumpsuit Apperatus, Avenuedrive played with Fuel and was asked if we were available to play a few more stops on their tour. I've been recording my own music as well as demos for others (about 30 for others and around 60 for myself). I continue to write music for my own band as well as preparation for future projects. I've done freelance work, mostly word of mouth, for the past 7 years, including voice acting performance and recording for a couple video games. I've done field recording for short films and projects, live sound engineering for multiple band performances, mostly in praise and worship settings. My main income has come from my teaching business which I've operated successfully for 15 years now. I worked with other studios for around 2 years prior to that then started my own teaching studio and continue to operate that. I have a deep passion for teaching. I love that Sudden recognition when I'm able to help someone understand something that previously eluded them. I love helping people reach the goals they felt they couldn't reach before because I feel everyone has something unique to contribute and I only hope to help others realize their ability by getting the knowledge barriers out of their way. I tell my students "my job is take myself obsolete". Some of the greatest joys in my life (short of marrying the love of my life) are seeing students I'd had for 6, 7, 8 years graduate high school and tell me they planned to minor in music because of me. I've had that privilege 15 times in my career and hope to have many more such experiences. I've done A LOT with music in my life so their are VERY few musical situations I'm not already comfortable with. I'm a quick learner and prolific at simplifying harder music theory down to an understandable level for all of the above settings. I've spent a lot of time being a translator for sound engineers and new bands in the studio, stage crew and the bands they serve, kids as young as 8 with college level music theory methods and new song writers with the technical know how to bring their idea to life.     Diskull is a DJ / producer based in Charlotte, NC. Since inception, he has garnered label releases on multiple industry leading imprints such as Insomniac, Dirtybird, Box of Cats, Farris Wheel and Do Not Duplicate. He gained initial recognition in early 2021 with his 'Bodies Rushing' remix released on his own label, Groovy Bone, which was met with great support, peaking at #30 on the Beatport Tech House Hype Chart and landing radio show plays by CID on Diplo's Revolution, Golf Clap on Insomniac Radio, and UK's Deeper Purpose on Repopulate Mars' Jumpin' Jam Fest live stream. In the second half of 2021, Diskull won the EDC Las Vegas Discovery Project for his remix of SIDEPIECE’s “Acrobatic” on Insomniac Records, which landed him a slot at EDC Las Vegas and a release on the official remix package alongside J. Worra, Biscits and Martin Ikin. In 2022, Diskull continued his trajectory to success, releasing his Insomniac Records follow up “U Dunno” on their Discovery Project imprint. His big Summer 2022 release on NV’D Records, “Lucky Charm“, broke into the top 20 on Beatport’s Tech House Hype Chart and has also been a tastemaker favorite, receiving radio support from Fedde Le Grand, CID and Plastik Funk. In August of 2022 his debut EP “Paddywack” hit #1 on the Bass House Releases chart. Diskull has had a busy year so far in 2023. His first release of the year, 'Head Last Night' on Groovy Bone Records reached #1 on Bass House Releases and #70 on the Hype Tech house singles chart. His second track of the year ‘Donde Quiero’ with DOMii found a home with Gettoblaster’s Aliens On Mushrooms label was selected as the #1 ranked Hype Picks: Tech House track by Beatport. It also reached #48 on the Hype Tech house singles chart. Arguably his biggest release to date came in September with his debut EP on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION records. The 2 track package of Letyago and Yagotta has already turned heads in the industry, making its way to the top of the Bass House charts and receiving support from Kyle Watson, Bingo Players, Borgore, Todd Edwards and Don Diablo. It is evident that Diskull, determined to continue creating his own sound and building a loyal following, is set out to prove why he's emerged as one of house music's favorite new DJ/Producers.
