Even if the webpage has broken HTML, I can still find a way to reliably scrape/crawl it. Because of my experience in building web applications from the ground up, I know exactly how the data is being sent to/from the server which allows me to creatively find ways to collect that data efficiently. I taught myself Computer Science by downloading free books online and taking free college courses from Coursera, Stanford Engineering Everywhere, and Udacity. The truth is, anybody can get an Ivy League education in computer science and web development for free by using the Internet. What separates me from other developers is that I would rather take on a challenging project and learn something new, rather than do something easy. I am just getting warmed up so take advantage.
