I work under hybrid agreements for guaranteed time blocks to avoid multiple, non-income-producing gaps on my calendar. This ensures clarity and fairness for both parties. I have had issues through the years where I have been asked to block out a fixed amount of hours or time blocks on my calendar and the customer was not prepared to give me enough work to fill that time and I missed opportunities, therefore, I don’t block time on my calendar without a guaranteed payment for that time. For hourly work, I require a fixed-price contract for 50% of the agreed hourly rate, covering the requested time, and will take the other half as an hourly contract. For example: Agreement of $10/hr for 20 hours/week (~$200/week): $100/week fixed-price + $5/hour for hours worked. If you only give me 15 hours, you only pay $150 and I miss out on $50 expected which I think is fair. COMMISSION ROLES: Straight Commission: I work on select straight commission projects that are Closing Only, where appointments are pre-set and added directly to my calendar during my available time slots and do not require a set time block or amount of hours. Blocked Time: If you’d like me to block off specific times or dedicate a specified amount of hours, I require a hybrid arrangement: a negotiated fixed-price contract to secure the time, combined with a slightly reduced commission. This is something that we would need to discuss. WHAT I DON'T DO: No Use of Personal Resources: I only work with client-provided email, phone, or social media accounts. No Free Add-Ons: Services like scriptwriting, sales management, marketing advice, CRM enhancement, or sales strategy are a separate, fixed-price contract.
