Stories are for ordinary people seeking extraordinary places. Writing is how we get there. From student to freelancer, and with 15+ years of experience, I’ve helped many clients like yourself bring their ideas to life. Whatever your interest, I can provide. My portfolio consists of fiction and nonfiction, many short stories, content articles, a few books, and more. If ghostwriting is your desire, then I’m your guy, because what matters most is not the author, but whether the story has created an indelible experience for readers. For small jobs, unless otherwise negotiated, my rate is $75 per hour. However, I prefer to work flat rate only. This ensures you know exactly what your project will cost, and there are no unexpected surprises to hit your budget. If you change something that will make the project cost more, we discuss it before I proceed so you're not blindsided! I set my rate based on an average known time of what a task or job takes so I don't have to rush to stay within budget versus doing the best job I can. If a job takes longer than I estimated YOU don't have to pay the price. This allows me to enjoy and focus on the craft of creating the best work possible for you. MY PROCESS: Hit your deadlines and obligations to me, I'll meet mine to you. Life happens. I get that. I try to build in extra time so when you get pulled away by your work and other events in your life, or my Internet goes out because of a hurricane (happened twice in 2018) we can stay on track. MY EXPERIENCE: I'm a full-time ghostwriter with 23 years experience as a journalist and photojournalist and 14 years experience as a ghostwriter. I've ghostwritten blogs for business authors and speakers that appear in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and OPEN (American Express). I am an associate editor at Airstream Life Magazine. My 50% Success rating comes from Upwork scammers who get 90% of a contract completed, then claim my writing is bad, cancel the contract, never pay me, but keep their work. That's why I charge 50% UP FRONT. Upwork cannot keep up with all the scammers. If you want to know what my SUCCESSFUL and LEGITIMATE clients think of me, read the comments and endorsements on my profile. Seth Godin, Dan Pink, and Mike Michalowicz have all endorsed me, as has William "Bill" Novak (ghostwriter for Ronald and Nancy Reagan, Lee Iacocca, Tim Russert, and other celebrities). I currently ghostwrite for Melissa G Wilson of Networlding.com and other top authors. Books I've ghostwritten and their "authors" have appeared on Fox News and in other national news. The late Tim Russert has spoken about me/my writing on CSPAN. Search my name, Becky Blanton, on Amazon.com to see a list of projects I've completed without an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). I'm a TED GLOBAL (not TEDx) speaker. I spoke at TED Global 2009 in Oxford, England as Dan Pink's guest and as the winner of a competition Pink hosted. Dan Pink has written seven New York Times bestsellers. He was a host and a co-executive producer of the National Geographic Channel social science TV series Crowd Control. From 1995 to 1997, he was the chief speechwriter for Vice President Al Gore. And, he picked me to go to and speak at TED Global in 2009, the year I started ghostwriting. I specialize in ebooks, books, and blog posts. I hope we can work together. As you'll soon learn, you get what you pay for. If you want quality, experience, and expertise for a fair price, let's talk. I work hard to work with your budget, but I have bills to pay too! Let's figure out how we can both get what we want/need.Non-Fiction Writing
