I am a multi-produced, multi-award-winning screenwriter of feature films, short films, and television. Dozens of my screenplays and pilots have been optioned, several have been theatrically released worldwide, and even more are currently in various stages of development and production. My most recently completed feature starring Sid Haig (The Devil's Rejects, Kill Bill) and Sara Tomko (Resident Alien) was released nationwide last year and is now available on-demand everywhere. If you'd like a novel adapted for the screen faithfully and beautifully, if you have an amazing idea for a movie or tv show but you're just not sure how to bring it to life, or if you've already got a script but you know it can be leveled up, I will be thrilled to work with you to help you realize your project with a quality you've never dreamed possible. I am listed as a "Top Freelancer" with five-star reviews across the board. Please take a moment to look over my feedback to see just how happy all of my clients have been with my work. I've never left anyone short of thrilled with my product and, not unlike Rick Astley, I will never let you down. Samples of my work in probably any genre are available upon request. Thank you very much for taking the time to look over my profile. I look forward to speaking with you and, hopefully, creating something amazing together.Novel

Currently Accepting: Beta reading, developmental editing, and proofreading jobs. Please note that if your manuscript hasn't been edited and "proofreading" turns into "editing," then I will charge extra for the job, or we'll part ways since the job wasn't as discussed. Currently on Hold: I'm already a ghostwriter for one client, but I'm always open to the possibility of another job depending on what's needed! The ghostwriting jobs I take on are typically romance-based (no historical) novels or novellas with the outline provided for me, 1st person past/present tense or 3rd person past tense, omniscient POVs, and all sub-genres of romance welcome! If you're needing a different genre written, I am always up to discuss it and have experience with YA, Sci-fi, Horror, and light Fantasy genres as well! My skills begin by pulling ideas from the shadows of everyday life and creating realistic characters, ideas, and worlds. I am always up for the challenge. My interests lie in stories, novels, and the creation of an escape from the mundane. If you need help with developmental editing, or a fully-fleshed, ready-to-read manuscript, I could be your girl. I am an experienced novelist, beta-reader, and ghostwriter with a full-rounded potential to proofread anything you need. My areas of interest in the fictional world are horror, romance, science fiction, urban fantasy, slice-of-life, coming-of-age, paranormal, crime/thriller, and fairytale retellings. Communication is key to the success of your novel! Expect clarifying questions from me, respectful comments, honesty, and collaboration!Novel

Robert Walcott is a screenwriter and novelist. He’s originally from Chicago, where he was raised on a steady diet of Amblin-era movies. He won his high school’s 1988 Best Picture Oscar for the very unfunny comedy, To Kill a Mocking Nerd. After a stint in the US Navy, he earned a degree in Speech Communication from Eastern Illinois University, married his college sweetheart, and relocated to Los Angeles to break into the Hollywood screenwriting trade. Inspired by his Amblin-rich childhood, he created screenplays and stories that champion imagination and encourage fantasy. He’s written or co-written 25 screenplays and seven books (for accolades, see below). His fantasy/comedy Saturday Morning Siege—featuring nerdy best friends who invite a creepy classmate into their imaginary war with action figures—made a splash on the spec market and earned him meetings around town, including Steven Spielberg’s old Amblin offices on the Universal lot. He’s been insufferable ever since.
