When I was a young boy, I received many awards in elementary school including one in early 1982 for “Excellence in Computer Science.” (Thank you, Mrs. Buick). This special elementary class was probably the starting point of my interest in computers. By the age of 12, I bought my own computer and immediately began expanding my knowledge about the BASIC programming language through the use of books and trial-and-error methods. I have always been one to learn from reading and hands-on personal experience. Over the years, I learned more about computers. I eventually began fixing my own computers. Widespread use of the Internet led to an abundance of reading material and thus my knowledge on this topic gradually increased. Then it happened. I can’t recall exactly when, but it must have been around 1996. People began to ask me to repair their computers. At first, it was family members. Then it was friends, friends of friends, and so on. Complete strangers were asking me to work on their computers. Imagine that, Mrs. Buick. One thing led to another, and I decided to “open shop.” I opened for business May 1, 2004 as a home-based computer repair shop. Over time, I considered the possibilities and benefits of remote access computer services. The traditional “hands-on” methods of computer repairs left a lot to be desired. Remote access computer help and other remote access services are much more convenient and often quicker. I started to use remote connection software to further help local clients as well as some friends from as far away as Australia, Great Britain, and Japan. I could help more people each day. I could charge a decent rate for the services by saving on fuel costs and saving time that it used to take to travel between clients. Imagine the effect this can make worldwide as more companies realize that sometimes the same work can be done without all the travel. I could quickly tell that this was a great way to help people, help the environment, help the computers, help destroy viruses and other malware, maybe even save the whales someday, and take my computer help and repair business to a new level.Online Help
