Navigating an unfamiliar culture daily is the cognitive equivalent of running a half marathon: the training for the mind and soul is so strenuous that it can literally bring you down or light a flame of power that you never imagined possible. My management skills were also put to a test when having to budget a project, my own life project, and manage my savings for a period of 3 years in food, accommodation, transportation, clothing and leisure. When living in a van, task organisation proved key, requiring a detailed daily plan and good logistics to find where to sleep, where to find water, gas, a shower and the next best organic market to do the groceries. Shifting from working in an office and give engineering presentations to standing in front of yogis and guide them to make a pause and reconnect with their inner self has given me an immense sense of empowerment, grounding and confidence to work in what I truly believe, helping others overcome their traumas and conditionings that hold them back in embracing life fully.
