I specialize in front end development - simply put, I take design mock ups and turn them into fully-functioning websites. However, my skills span all areas of the website creation process, from design to development to marketing, promotion, and SEO. This wide range of knowledge gives me a keen insight into how to build websites around my clients' specific needs. Choices made during the design and development phases will ultimately affect promotion and SEO, and a mistake made early on can be incredibly costly down the line. It's all too common to have a designer build you a website that looks good, but is slow, bloated, and buggy. Designers are great at making sites look good, but they're not always the best at translating their designs into code. So then you need a web developer go back through the site, fix the code, and speed everything up. Ouch, you didn't expect that extra cost, but at least the work is done and the site is ready to go, right? Wrong. Your site has been live for six months and the phone hasn't rung once. Google isn't sending any traffic to your pages, and when you try to post links on Facebook and Twitter, your image previews show up cropped and the right text isn't showing up in the captions. No one is "liking" or "following" your pages, and you're scared you just dropped a whole bunch of money for nothing! In comes the digital marketer to tell you that you're going to need to rewrite half of your content and completely restructure your site structure if you want to compete on Google. You're also going to have to recode a bunch of site files to make sure you're using the structured data markup that Google, Facebook, and other sites need to understand your site content. And it's going to be costly... So you've just paid to build the same website three times and launched it six months late. Ouch. Hiring a web agency with a full team of specialists could have avoided this situation, but at those rates you probably would have spent roughly the same amount. What's the solution? I'm the solution. I'm a designer who plans like a coder and thinks like a marketer. When I show you a mockup for a webpage, I know exactly how I'm going to build it, and exactly how it fits into your overall marketing strategy. I know the keywords it's going to rank for in Google, and I know how many searches per month those keywords get.
