I am a QuickBooks Pro-advisor and support small businesses and start-ups with real-time bookkeeping to equip you to make informed decisions. The best tax savings opportunities are often identified through bookkeeping, which is why I recommend the same person/firm take care of a company's bookkeeping and tax needs. Start-Up with a foreign ownership? Whether you own an LLC or a C Corp, if your business is foreign owned, you likely have a Form 5472 filing obligation. Failure to file form 5472 carries a penalty of $25,000 per form, per year, so be sure to take care of your reporting obligations, even if you don't owe any US tax. US business owners: If you are a Sole Proprietor or business owner with an LLC, consider setting your business up as a S Corp in order to save Self Employment taxes.
