A graduate of the University of Utah in Chemical Engineering and Applied Mathematics. I am passionate about coding (especially Python) and the ability of computers to solve human-problems. Most recently my roles at EveryoneSocial included working with their Customer Success and Engineering teams. Specifically, I served as liaison between our largest clients and the engineering team. This included 'white-glove' treatment for implementation, configuration, support needs, data retrieval, and data analysis. Previously I lead the Support team at a software company (Eccovia) based in Salt Lake which provides an Information Management platform to shelters, government agencies, and other non-profits serving those experiencing homelessness. Providing software that improves peoples lives is rewarding work. During my final year of school I worked as a Software Developer for an air-quality research study at the University of Utah. We gathered data from the Utah Division of Air Quality and Wyoming University to provide a web-hosted dashboard for visualizing the relationship between delta-Carbon and local heat-deficit. For this project a Flask-based web-app presents Python generated plots depicting relationships between these two datasets. Before returning to school I spent three years as the Software Trainer and Special Projects Assistant at one of Utah's largest law firms: Kirton McConkie. In this position I provided technical support and training to the legal staff for specialized legal tools, the document management system (DMS), and Microsoft Office. I also improved access to digital resources by developing custom organizational schemas for each practice group at the firm. Additionally I served as a help-desk operator solving technology issues as they arose. I have also worked as a part of the technical help-desk team for a large defense contractor through my employment at UNISYS Corporation. During my time at UNISYS my exceptional customer service skills were acknowledge by rapid promotion to the team lead for the escalated support line, and recognition as Employee of the Month. In all of my work and education I find that most of my roads lead to computers (and software). I have found success and satisfaction in creating or fixing software--and in helping others to use/enjoy software too. I strive to focus on a client success strategy in which expectations are routinely met, deadlines are achieved or beaten, and users are pleased that their needs have been understood and satisfied.
