Reading and interacting in different languages are a great passion of mine, which is why I decided to study humanities. During that time I learned to grasp complex facts and reproduce them in my own words. This results in my first-class knowledge of the German language. One of my responsibilities while I was working as a research assistant was to proofread the professors’ documents. Moreover I worked as a copy editor for a German publishing house, primarily reviewing English literature. Since 2020 I work as a freelance translator. Furthermore I worked as the head English teacher for an international school in Japan for more than two years. I have improved my skills in English, its features and grammar, so that I can translate with ease and joy into my mother tongue: German.Proofreading

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile. One of the most important things in language translation is understanding both cultures and the nuance of the sentence. I've seen many translated documents into Korean, but many of them were literally translated, which makes me sad as a native speaker. For example, “app a plant” can be literally translated into 식물을 추가하다. But unlike English, Korean doesn’t used 추가하다(add) for a planting. The verb 추가하다 usually used for adding something that is countable or in mathematics. Because the Korean language structure differs greatly from that of English, literal translation or machine translation can result in sentences with completely different meanings than the original text. Here, you can get a manually translated document. And that document will include commonly used Korean phrases as well as naturally translated sentences, allowing your documents to reach potential Korean clients more easily.Proofreading

Hello. My name is Christine. I was born in the U.S. and lived in South Korea for most of my childhood, so my identity is mixed with South Korean and American cultures. I believe my background and experience have prepared me well for language and marketing projects in Korean and English, including English-Korean translation, data annotation, surveys, interviews, Korean voice-over, simple graphic design, etc. I have +10 years of experience as a translator. I was an active PTO board member of a foreign school in South Korea between 2017 and 2019. There, I have bridged between parents who are not English speakers and the faculty who are native English speakers. As a treasurer, I created PTO event posters and flyers written in English and Korean. When I interned at a privately owned local museum in 2014-2015, I made docent scripts in both English and Korean. I also conducted museum tours in Korean and English. Since 2023, I have tried to expand my specialty in medical interpretation. I have passed a written exam for NBCMI (National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters) and have gleaned my English-Korean interpretation skills for an oral exam. I also conducted virtual interpretation for a hospital in the U.S. and in-person interpretation at hospitals and clinics in South Korea. Moreover, I can help non-Korean speakers solve their life difficulties and inconveniences in Korea. I can bridge you and Korean people, institutions, or companies to achieve your goals. I can conduct a task in person if it is done within Seoul. Otherwise, I can help you online or on the phone. My Korean language proficiency contributed to AI training since 2018. All of the projects required me to pass a qualification test to join. As a native Korean speaker, I have successfully executed voice recording projects. I also participated in data annotations in Korean. The tasks required me to choose the best answers among several options. In addition, I created queries in Korean for AI. My queries should fall into a certain question category. I am a surveyee who can creatively and explicitly express my opinions as a consumer. Since 2021, I participated in survey projects for mass media, ott, smartphone apps, and brand products. I generated oral or written reports in Korean for most of the projects. Some projects were group discussions in English. I have +10 years of experience as a graphic designer. I have begun utilizing graphic design since I majored in design at college. Since then, I have implemented design projects in various organizations, including an architecture office, non-profit organizations, a local museum, and a parent-teacher organization. My skills include Photoshop editing, vectorization from raster file format, logo design, flyer design, brochure design, book design, etc. The hourly rate varies depending on the difficulty and intensity of a task. I look forward to working with you! P.S. Please do not invite me to a project related to an illegal field (i.e. casino, gambling, etc) in South Korea.Proofreading
