I don't apply for those types of jobs. Concerning Speed, Quality, and Cost of art, many artists can produce two of the three with an impressive result. However, this means the expectations of clients may need to be guided to a realistic level. • If Speed and Quality are most important, you must be prepared for a much higher Cost. (If you need a rush job done with an outstanding skill or detail level, you should offer a decent and generous pay rate or fixed price. Lowball offers will often be rejected.) • If Cost and Quality are most important, then Speed will have to be less important, and the artwork may take more time. (If your price offer is too low, many artists will not pick up your job or do a great job, no matter how much time you give them to do it.) • If Cost and Speed are the most important, then Quality will likely be sacrificed in some capacity. (Similarly to the previous points, the artist may not do a great job on something rushed. Art takes time, it depends on what you ask for.) I don't take RUSH or unplanned jobs. Please ensure you've planned enough time for the art to be made. Always give at least 2-3 months for a large project like a comic book or storybook. Two weeks is enough for a single image with a high level of detail, like a poster or book cover art. Consider how much time may be needed for revisions and correspondence.
