COPYWRITING So much copy these days is bland and stiff, or on the contrary, full of hype and pump. But it doesn't have to be like that. You don’t need to do word gymnastics to get your message across, but rather bring authenticity into the mix. I think people can be drawn in only by copy that is human. I like to bring wit and charm to my piece of content; it doesn’t matter what the topic is. Strategy: I strongly believe that the most important aspect of writing good copy is research (about the product, about the customer/ target). Aside from that, the research has to be done thoroughly. Anything else is just going to hurt you in the long run. The second most important thing is using the right copywriting framework (AIDA, PAS, the four Ps) I can effectively capture your brand's voice, as well as the voice of the customer. Both are important when we're talking about copy that sells. If you want to know a part of my process (especially when it comes to copywriting), I’ve included some walkthroughs in my portfolio. CONTENT WRITER I love writing so much, that I’ve dabbled into many sides of it. I am a psychology graduate, with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in psychology. As a result, I wrote scientific articles on the topic of cognitive-behavioral therapy and behavioral economics. I have also written blog articles about relationships, mental illness, and psychotherapy. However, the niches I’ve written about are numerous: photography, food, e-commerce, health, finance - just to name a few. I’m more of a proponent of organic SEO, with a focus on informative or engaging content/tone that is valuable above keyword placement. Different pieces of content will have different requirements, as the target audience can vary. My process goes something like this: Before actually writing the article, I'd begin by understanding the precise topic, the target audience, and the main objective of the content (e.g., educate, inform, drive a specific action). Given the specificity of some niches, I'd only use credible sources such as academic journals, trusted websites, books, and articles to gather accurate information. In the past, I’ve used Clearscope, SurferSEO, and Ubersuggest for keyword research. Other things that I consider in my writing: deep research about the subject (even if I know a topic well, there’s always something I might miss), structured content with subheadings that address the main point, real-life applications and examples, the importance of internal and external linking, and (of course) organic keyword placing. Before doing the work, I think some questions are worth asking ourselves, such as: What is the primary goal of your content? (Inform, persuade, entertain, etc.) What are the core values and key messages you want to communicate through your content? Can you describe your ideal customer or target audience? (demographics and psychographics are important here) How formal or informal do you envision your communication or message to be? Are there any brands or publications that embody the voice and style you're looking for? Are there specific words, phrases, or linguistic styles that resonate with your brand or industry? Do you expect the tone and style to vary by platform, or should it be consistent across all channels? How much creative freedom do I have in developing the tone and voice?
