    Started off in trucking getting drivers the help they needed when broken down on the side of the road. Name of that company was FleetNet America. After Fleetnet, I established a trucking company, Carolina Freight Service Corporation using the MC and DOT of my grandfather. Grew that from 1 truck to 10, 8 of those being owner operators. In 2012 I found out about an opportunity to work in brokerage for a then startup company called Express 1 later to be named XPO Logistics. I learned the business at XPO growing a book of business with revenues in the 5-8mm run rate. I did this not only by cold calling but leveraging the relationships with companies that XPO was buying. While at XPO, I got the idea brokerage could be done much more efficiently. Approached Thomas Meaders, who was a programmer at IBM for 33+ years, Tom Had also been in charge of programming the return of the apollo space capsule. Together along with David Jackson, a 20 year Microsoft vet, we built a working model that would use algorithms to determine what truck would be the best fit for any posted load in our system. We called this company Freight Hawk Trucking. This project was cut short when Toms health faltered and he died. There are rumors that this unfinished technology got into the hands of what is now Convoy. After Toms death, I went to work for Transfix as a sales executive. Loved the job, made successful relationships. Little did I know, the plan was to cut much of the outside sales team and convert accounts into house accounts for inside sales. Months later I worked with Ohad Axelrod over at Fr8hub consulting helping them with enterprise customers who needed their cross boarder shipping needs met. Met Jeff Ogren, a founding member of Uber Freight, Jeff and I work together as consultants on Smarthop which is a dispatching service that uses AI to automatically match their now 94 owner operators with brokers loads. Axle today is completely dispatching 2 trucks with no human interaction at all!! As far as freight goes, I still have many loyal customers who have followed me from my days at XPO. Recently I was with Sarisa Freight based out of Chicago, where I helped eliminate 20% of their broker utilization replacing that with the freight of Universal Forest Products and Resolute Forest Products for their 150 flat beds. Right now, for my forward-thinking tech savvy customers as well as truck procurement needs, I have started to turn to Emerge a software company in Scottsdale, AZ. Emerge is great for shippers, but what about the small to midsized broker?? In addition to over a decade of experience in freight brokerage I have a 2mm annual run rate book of business that is immediately transferrable. Thanks Jordan Miles Allen
