I am currently a student at Visual College of Art and Design, founded in Vancouver, recently based in Calgary. I study 3D modelling and animation. This means that I have had classes to teach me about the production pipeline and was assigned to do projects. I have studied colour theory, Adobe Photoshop, 2D Animation, Autodesk Maya, and life drawing. I am currently studying animating on Maya, storyboarding and project planning, character design, advanced life drawing, and environmental modelling. I still have a full year left, in which I will be prepping for: scripting on python, rigging in Maya, sculpting, and more. I am very confident in my skills and my desire to learn. I am ready to achieve my best in making the best product and projects for you. Starting this year, I am on a full-force drive to develop: web comics, 3D landscapes with UV texturing, lighting, and video rendering. An artist in many disciplines from sketching, painting/mixed media, design, and composition, to video editing, music, and flash animation--I've worked in almost every medium. Over the summers, I would write between 30,000 and 200,000 romance, fantasy, drama, and YA novels, just to keep my mind fresh. I completed my BA in English from the University of Alberta in 2020, and was able to select several courses specifically studying CRT, human behavior, feminism, social justice, philosophy, and media and culture studies. What I've Done: I've recently edited many self-help books in the subjects of habit-forming, self-care, motivation, physical health, and mental health. I am comfortable at all levels of editing, from simple grammar, punctuation, formatting, and tense agreement, to providing detailed feedback on style, flow, content, and overarching themes. For this, I keep a very detailed feedback model in mind; one that I learned by participating in collaborative university writing workshops. I found that I flourish in opportunities to help other writers become more comfortable with their craft. Who I Am: I enjoy writing, graphic design, digital art, singing, producing music, keeping fit, and teaching kids how to read and learn. I also love American Football! Both playing and watching. My main focus has been finishing my first full-length movie script about a queer musician, and an episodic series about a co-ed football team. Niches I Love: I enjoy reading and revising: young adult fiction, romance, drama, LGBTQ+, scripts, academic papers, self-help/realization, fantasy/large world development (high fantasy), and political articles. As an openly queer woman, I am completely comfortable discussing mixed or same-gender romance, intimacy, or erotica.
