⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have worked successfully with some of the biggest brands to generate more than 700K Leads and 5M+ in Revenue with Facebook Ads. Keep reading to learn how I always go about this... PHASE 1: INTERVIEW First and foremost, we need to understand exactly who we're trying to target, what they might be interested in and how they might respond to certain things. It's unlikely you'll know exact answers but it's just to give us a starting point. This information will also inform our current targeting approach and future marketing or optimization ideas. The interview will take around 30 minutes and will consist of 10 questions. PHASE 2: SAMPLE ADS, STRATEGY and PREPARATION We will start by defining KPIs and success metrics to follow and aim for. Knowing more about the online activities and preferences of your audience will help us figure out how to most effectively communicate with them (what do they respond to and why). For that, when creating the ad copy, we will use a combination of insights, website copy and best practices in terms of action words, attention grabbers and call-to-actions. You need to feel comfortable. It's vital that you are happy with the language we're using, the ad copy and the images. Sometimes odd combinations and weird, out of the box ideas are the most effective but we'll never run anything against your wishes. PHASE 3: START RUNNING ADS We will get going as soon as possible, then add more campaigns over the coming days. The idea behind this is to get the ad account used to the traffic, as it needs to gather data from 50 conversions to be able to optimize the campaigns. In the following weeks, we will expand the campaigns and start ''scaling backwards''. We will build the ad structure and continuously optimize the campaigns based on the performance until we gather enough data to start the Discovery campaigns. Initially, it will take around 1-2 weeks to get your first set of ads live. PHASE 4: ROAD TO SUCCESS After running some initial experiments, we can use the data to select a set of well-performing sub-campaigns and ads in order to start with the ''Discovery campaigns''. The idea is to try different combinations of variables and start the A/B testing process. To optimize the performance and be able to scale, we need to continuously work on finding the best target audience profiles and the messages that will correspond well. The Discovery process will be implemented 1 month after starting with the initial campaigns. There's a concept called "ad blindness". It's where you see the same ad again and again and as a result, you start to tune it out. It might even help you massively and be exactly what you're looking for but for whatever reason, your brain ignores it. For that, we keep recycling the ads. Over time, we'll start to notice which types of ads, platforms, targeting profiles, etc. are actually producing more results in terms of customers, and we will focus on that. Eventually, start shutting down the ads that aren't as effective at producing customers and double down on the ones that are. They will be repackaged with a few modifications to look new again, and thus attract just as much attention as the first time. After a number of optimizations, we can start building solid ''Conversion'' campaigns, which are specifically optimized for the actions and the audiences in the pixel, and usually perform the best. It will take somewhere around 2-3 months to set up a good campaign structure, build the right target profiles, and find the ads that work well. After that, we can look into increasing the volume aggressively and lower down the cost per lead. PHASE 5: SCALING AND OPTIMIZATION There are many ways through which we can approach scaling the campaigns. Here is a breakdown of how we maximize the results: - Lookalike Audiences: Now that we have a picture of your customer database, Facebook can find similar users to open up a whole new set of potential customers. - Custom: Using your customer database, we will upload phone numbers, email addresses, Facebook user IDs, and app user IDs. That information will then be matched to as many user pro les as possible. - New Detailed Pro le Targeting: The same approach used to target new customers or people who’ve never heard of your business before, but trying to find a lower cost profile segments. It involves demographics, interests, behaviors, and other categories. It will take about 3-6 months to get a good idea of the effectiveness of the channel. REPORTING AND MONITORING We will measure all relevant KPIs and analytics data such as page-level metrics, engagement rates, reach, clicks, and other metrics. Compile reports and present them on a weekly basis.
