I recommend anyone looking to improve traffic and sales for their website to start with an SEO audit. Without an audit of your website, there may be technical SEO issues that prevent your website from being seen and understood properly by search engines such as Google. This means that when people search for services or products related to your website, you may not even show up in the search results. No amount of site content, blog posts, articles, or on-page optimizations such as title tags and keywords will make you visible to searchers if you have technical issues present.
What separates my audits from many other SEO companies is that my audits are all done manually. There are many SEO tools out there that offer "1-click" audits, which cost SEO auditors virtually nothing in terms of cost and time. The reports are automatically ran, and issues are dumped in a PDF with little-to-no manual analysis. While you can certainly go this route, these types of audits are not tailored to your website, and you can never guarantee that the issues they find are actually issues that need fixed without a manual review from an SEO professional.
For business owners who are sure that they don't have underlying technical issues preventing their website from being seen in the first place, a good strategy to start showing up for keywords relevant to your business is to create new content for your site. As with site audits, SEO tools offer a "1-click" method to find keywords for your site, which are then exported in a list without much thought.
The issues with these 1-click keyword lists are that 1) a lot of the keywords in these lists are simply variations of the same keyword, so they have no inherent value to you, 2) the keywords are not attached to a topic, which is a much more reliable SEO strategy than focusing on individual keywords, and 3) many of the keywords are searched frequently, but you will have no chance of ranking for them.
When you order keyword and topic research from me, I will break down these keyword lists and prioritize them based on the opportunities they present for your site. I take into account several variables, such as search volume, competition, relevance, and most importantly, if you even have a chance at competing for the keywords. This serves as a roadmap for your business that will guide your content creation and ensure you're focusing on the highest-opportunity keywords and topics for your business.
Additionally, I can also create new content or optimize existing content for your website based on the keyword and topic research for your site. This is different from hiring a typical copywriter, who may or may not have an SEO background - or worse, has some knowledge of SEO and thinks that adding a keyword over and over will somehow make your site rank higher. Adding keywords to titles, headers and content is NOT enough to differentiate your content from existing content on the web, and in a worst-case scenario, could get your site demoted in search results if not done correctly.
As with SEO audits and keyword/topic research, be aware that SEO companies may offer to create new content, but use AI (such as ChatGPT) to basically "1-click" generate your article. This is not sufficient to create quality content, and while they CAN look good, you will stand little-to-no chance of the articles you paid for actually helping bring you more business.
