Friendly Message to Clients
There is something I call "The Art Trilemma" that predicts the outcome of an artwork.
There are 3 main options/aspects to consider in the creation of artwork when hiring an artist.
1) Speed
2) Quality
3) Cost
An artist can only truly produce 2 of the 3 options at an EXCEPTIONAL level, therefore, one aspect must be forgiven in that it cannot be as exceptional as the other aspects.
If you are somehow granted all 3 aspects at an exceptional level, then you have been blessed with such a rare occurrence that it cannot likely continue into perpetuity. The artist being asked to work in that way will probably become upset and stop working for you because creating the artwork under those conditions will be considered unreasonable. You can't always have it all, so you need to decide which factors about producing the artwork are the most important to you.
For example:
• If Speed and Quality are most important, you must be prepared for a higher Cost.
• If Cost and Quality are most important, then Speed will have to be less important and the artwork may take more time.
• If Cost and Speed are the most important, then Quality will likely be sacrificed in some capacity.
Please be kind to artists and give them enough time, compensation, and creative license to create the work you're asking for. Try to be flexible and understanding of the work that goes into creating art.
