I'm a heath coach passionate about helping clients discover their health potential through motivational interviewing, sustainable goal setting, and behavior change. I rediscovered my passion for health and wellness in 2016 after having my first child. At the time, I had a promising career in advertising, where I was valued by my team and by our clients, who I helped manage social media campaigns and content, and multifaceted marketing campaigns. While I enjoyed my time in advertising, I had a renewed sense of purpose and felt the best I had in years after my daughter was born. I attributed this newfound bloom of health to increased movement, home cooked meals, and less stress. Ultimately, my maternity leave gave me the opportunity to get out of the office chair, move away from screens, and experience life vibrantly. Long story short, I left my job in advertising, went back to my roots in athletics, and started coaching gymnastics in order to find better work/life balance. I was a competitive division-one gymnast in college, so being back in the gym felt like home. Creating workouts and experimenting with drills was all exciting, but I found that my true passion was using my psychology minor to help athletes reach their highest potential both in and out of the gym. I let this passion guide me and enrolled in the ACE Fitness Health Coach program to see how I could expand my love of coaching to the general public. From there I started my own health coaching business, Sipley Wellness, where I help clients identify their wellness focus and build self efficacy through motivational interviewing. I also completed the Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach training program in July of 2021, and became NBC-HWC certified in July of 2022. In my health coaching practice, I create regular newsletters, blog posts, and social media content to create connections with my clients. I recently worked with a client who simply wanted to feel like her old self again. She described herself as unmotivated, fatigued, and simply in a rut when it came to her health. She reflected back to her days as a college athlete, where she remembered feeling her best and wanted to rediscover that same feeling years later. I spent a generous amount of time building rapport and self efficacy in our first few sessions. I gave her space to explore and experiment, while also providing her with resources and information around nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness. After eight coaching calls, she created a routine that fit her current demanding schedule as a working Mom of two young and energetic boys. I monitored and kept track of her successes in order to help build her confidence and motivation to keep moving forward. At the end of our time together, she felt energized and confident that she could maintain her new healthy routines. I'm excited to have the opportunity to help others find their healthiest self.
