I have been a storyteller in many forms: written, small – intimate performances, and local griot. When woven together, these forms lend a natural, delightful and enchanting element to my voiceover form. Originally from the D.C - Maryland-Virginia area, I worked hard to mask my Maryland accent. I thought it was necessary to hide it as a journalist. As it happened, I chose to study print journalism instead of broadcast journalism -and it didn't matter if I had a colloquial accent in a newspaper newsroom. Occasionally, I have fun "letting the accent out" when I'm with family and friends from the area. Eventually, life led me to seminary where I learned storytelling from one of the greatest-selling books of all time - The Bible. From those well crafted stories I learned to retell and interpret those stories in the form of sermons. (I also learned to pronounce all those difficult Hebrew names that unnerve a novice.) As I grew more fascinated with the stories, I began to study the art of "Biblical storytelling" which left out the interpretation and let the "story" speak for itself. As a communicator for a non-profit humanitarian agency, and having lived abroad in Palestine and Europe, I retold the stories of those who move between borders in search of safety and dignity. This lends a global perspective to the art that calls for sensitivity to the complexities of the human condition. It is no wonder that audio narration appealed to me as an art form. Audiobook narration is another chapter in my love of storytelling.

I began photography at 16 years old and pursued it extensively. I specialized in professional studio and on-location portrait photography. Regarding video production, I learned some fundamentals in my time at Georgia State, but ultimately I began to immerse myself in Adobe's video production tools to learn new techniques and methods. Currently, my interests include learning Adobe After Effects and staying up to date on evolving AI tools and processes to create new workflows that allows for more in depth creative solutions and alternatives to established approaches to media production. I am hoping to make video editing my new full time role, but I am open to remote video editing work in all forms at the moment. Soon I will be able to offer more motion graphics assets in my work as well.
