    I’m a certified English to Spanish translator who holds a B.A. in English from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, México), majored in translation. My expertise in translation includes knowledge in the following areas: Spanish Grammar, Technical English, Translation Theories and Translation Techniques. Furthermore, I also have experience working with CAT tools, for instance, Wordfast Pro and Trados SDL, the latter is the one I work with most of the time. Finally, the types of translation projects I’ve worked with are diverse and they go from common terminology (short stories, resumes, articles, brochures, etc.) to specialized terminology (machinery, websites, manuals, instructions sheets, user’s guides, etc). Transcription of audio recordings is another skill in which I got plenty of experience. Most of the times, I transcribe Spanish audio recordings, since it’s my mother tongue. However, I’ve also worked in projects that required me to perform a translation-transcription task; this was to listen to the Spanish audio recordings and translate what I heard directly into English and transcribe the whole project in the English language. Lastly, the transcription projects I worked with in the past include single person speech, one on one interview, focus group, dialogs and narrations.
