I went to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2016. In school I chose elective courses that focused on using data to solve complex problems, like machine learning and data visualization. After graduating I worked for an international engineering firm doing research and development work in the cybersecurity industry. This job was mostly prototyping web applications to solve our clients’ unique problems. At this job got plenty of experience working with a wide array of open source technologies. In 2019 I began working at one of the world's leading education technology companies. The project I was working on was to create a suite of highly scalable web services to build a platform that their entire product portfolio would use. This was a project where I got to work with some of the world's most talented developers to create software using cutting-edge technologies. Finally, in 2020 I moved into the federal contracting space, which is where I work now, building high-performance data pipelines. Most of my career has been focused on backend technologies for Linux systems with an variety of different technologies. My personal projects have included backend, frontend, and DevOps technologies. Just to name a few, I have worked with Python, Java, C/C++, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, and AWS. Although I have years of industry experience, all of my projects have been proprietary or company internal so I am not able to share them.
