Designing with perspective, learning through doing (and failing), gathering insights through research: how I have and continue to craft my career. My experience ranges from HCI research in AI and robotics to UX design of e-commerce applications to product marketing for SaaS solutions, in industries from fashion to EdTech to maritime technologies. The design process is my passion; creating products, interfaces, or ideas that transform experiences is at the core of what I want to spend my life doing. It is my personal “value proposition.” I had the opportunity to build my own path at the University of Colorado Boulder majoring in Creative Technology and Design through the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Core engineering principles were the basis on which I studied design. I dabbled in 3D modeling, hardware design and electronics, web development, and UX design. I got a Certificate in Writing because I believe storytelling is the most important part of the innovation and design process. My studies led to my two years with the NSF National AI Institute for Student-AI Teaming, where I led UX/UI research and design for ML/AI, dashboards, and IT software. In that time I co-founded the iSAT Lab and Authored a paper published at HCI International 2022. My 2023 year was focused on product marketing and content management for Austin B2B SaaS and DaaS startup, Terradepth, where I led initiatives in social media campaigns, events and conferences, and customer-facing collateral including partnership landing pages and a re-design of the website. I have since led the UX research and concept development for an early-stage AI startup and redesigned a complex data analysis dashboard for a local Austin startup. My years as a student, researcher, designer, and marketer have taught me about the importance of perspective and thinking holistically while creating. Having worked in research, agency, and startup settings, I have learned how to create efficient workflows from the ideation stage through the finish line of a project. Working with engineers, product managers, developers, CEOs, and PhD students and researchers has given me the skills needed to build and maintain professional relationships with co-workers, clients, and users. I am passionate about creating ethical and positive digital (and human) experiences, am eager to work in a fast-paced environment, and want to learn and grow in an atmosphere where challenging yourself and the status quo is encouraged.Storyboarding

I've known I loved writing since I was seven years old. Before I learned how to ride a bike, I was filling notebooks with stories and tales. My passion for the written word, and my desire to create engaging and thrilling content, has pushed me to be the best writer I can be. Keep reading to see a little about my experience, but if you are looking for a collaborative creative with excellent communication and the proven ability to hit deadlines... I'm your guy. I graduated with honors from Baylor University in May of 2019 with a Bachelors of Arts in Great Texts of the Western Tradition with an emphasis in story-design and creative writing. It's a mouthful of a name, but all you need to know is this: my time was spent researching, writing, and editing. During my time at Baylor, I worked closely as a consultant, editor, and proofreader for creative theses within the Honors Program. I submitted a YA fantasy novel for my Honors Thesis and received top marks from my defense panel. The Great Texts department named me as their outstanding student and invited me to guest lecture undergraduate courses on story design and writing. I have served as an English tutor, rebranded departmental social media communications, and designed graphics for yearbook publications. As an Enrollment Counselor at a large online University, I was tasked to lead special project teams to write and update copy for internal and external program updates. After producing successful student-facing copy, I was invited to consult with marketing to help produce email campaigns targeting prospective students in the school of education. Writing truly has been my passion ever since I was a child. Very few things in this world make me as happy as well-written, engaging stories. I am currently in the process of revising my own novel before I submit to publishers, so I can appreciate the importance of a good editor. I enjoy what I do, and I would love to work with you or your business, be it content creation, editing, or story consulting.Storyboarding
