My name is Fran, I’m an enthusiastic and ambitious content editor, translator and writer with a Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Marketing and Drama. I’m bilingual in German and English and I have over 5 years of experience. I’m currently living in Leeds and working on various projects including developing and editing content for digital marketing companies with different areas such as lifestyle, travel, gaming and culture. I moved to England 2.5 years ago to study Cinematography and Scriptwriting in Brighton. During the course I wrote and directed two short films and collaborated with other filmmakers on a variety of projects including a documentary on homelessness. Besides that, I worked as a content editor and production assistant for BBC Teach German. The outcome was an educational online series with 10 episodes to help British students to learn German. As one of the key members of the project I was responsible for a number of roles ranging from editing and rewriting scripts to creating content and translating (for German and English authorities, contributors, editors and producers) which helped to improve my ability to work flexibly across a variety of roles, communicate with a wide range of people, both face-to-face and over email, and meet tight deadlines. Before I relocated to Brighton, I studied in Berlin and Glasgow where I was actively involved in several theatre productions, mainly as dramaturg and director. During my studies I worked as a freelance writer for an online lifestyle magazine.
