    I'm known to most as Mandy, but to three small children; I am Mom. I have always pushed them to do their best, as I do for myself every single day. I have tried many different career opportunities and I always found myself feeling like something is missing. My true passion is through written word. I can take even the most complex subject and twist words into phrases that create a tool for someone to learn from. I self taught myself how to do manual screen printing just through written word, and training others with the knowledge I absorbed. My childhood consisted of creating a newspaper with (not true, but realistic) events that occurred to family members or close neighbors/friends. My father was usually the culprit of a hair-brained scheme, while my mother was usually the one receiving the consequence of his overly embellished endeavor. Later, in high school, I majored in English/Journalism and enjoyed writing TRUE stories for the school newspaper and yearbook. I was handpicked by my Language Arts teachers for different writing/poetry contests and was published a handful of times (unfortunately those references have been lost over the past 15-20 years). As an adult I joined the typical workforce in either retail or healthcare, not knowing where to start with my true passion of writing. Although I don't have the typical references/portfolio as other Freelance writers on here, what I do have is a passion. A passion that is screaming for an opportunity. I have been involved in 2 different traumatic car accidents over the past 3 years and they have left my mobility severely decreased, and I think it is fate's way of telling me to chase my passion of the written word. Give me a chance, and I promise you'll be the one shining too.
