I am a professional German actor and voice artist. I have more than 30 years of experience in theater and film acting, and a broad experience in voice recording (voice over, radio, literature recording, comercials, marketing). Before I turned to theater, I studied physics in Heidelberg and I have a University degree. I also work as a a freelance voice-, speaking- and acting- coach. I am a native German speaker and I am good to fluent in English (Exchange student in US for a Highschool year) My profession requires a perfect 'High German' without any accent, with experience in a lot of different speaking situations. As an actor and voice artist I am familiar with translating and adapting all kinds of texts to German and check for good translation, orthography, style and localization, making them speakable and meaningful to a contemporary audience. My main skill and competence however, is to record your text in a great variety of german speaking situations (literature: poetry, narration, drama ; news, comercial, situation, slang and dialect). I especially like to record and help to produce audio books and can refer to more than 80 major productions (e.g. audible, Norbert Wendel). I offer to use my own professional equipment and home studio. Please note: the above hourly rate (35$/h) refers to working hours and not finished audio hours! To produce 1 finished hour quality audio (prepared, recorded, proofed and edited) it takes up to 8 working hours! Special editing (synchronization, special narration formats) take additional time. For your estimation: an average narration speed is ~130 words/min (7800 words/hour)
