Hello everybody, I'm Marina, I'm 26, I'm Italian, and I've got an MA degree in Translation and Interpreting after obtaining a BA degree in Linguistic and Intercultural Communication, specializing in English and French languages and cultures. During my whole five years of University study, I focused on translation issues and theories, and I had the opportunity of translating different kinds of texts, especially in the e-commerce, literary, manual and touristic fields. I've got an Italian-French school-leaving certificate, which is officially recognised in French universities and educational fields. I did an internship of 3 months at a private school of English in my hometown where I did some English into Italian translations of "Terms and conditions" of brochures, hence quite a specific kind of translation, and I taught English to children of 8-11 years old. Moreover, I've done an Erasmus period at the renowned University of Liverpool, UK, for 5 months: this experience allowed me to come into contact with the English background and atmosphere, to attend some courses completely taught in English, which gave me the possibility to develop even more my knowledge of the English language. In the last three years, I've been working as a freelance translator of French-English-Italian, in particular: since January 2018, I've been working as a translator from French into Italian for a French company selling its products on Amazon - from kitchen tools to children's products and different kinds of household products. My job consists in translating the descriptions of these products, together with bullet points, clients' reviews, and emails by the company, but I also have to insert keywords according to a SEO strategy to attract the client. From November until June 2020, I've worked as a social media manager for the international car renting company Hertz, for which I managed the Facebook and Twitter pages, replying to comments, complaints, and questions by clients. I also had to report all of these in an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of clients' interactions on the posts published by Hertz. I also did an internship (February-July 2020) at an English publishing house, for which I translated a graphic novel and a comedy from Italian into English. Finally, I translated a manual from Italian into French, and right now, I'm translating a romantic novel from English into Italian. I'm looking forward to helping you translate your documents :)
