As a student of language and communication I gained insight in the use of language in a broad variety of communicative situations. I acquired the analytical, critical and creative skills that are needed to understand, assess and produce communication, both in oral and written form. I learned how to use language as a tool to effectively reach different goals. As a student of Dutch language and culture I learned how to thoroughly read and write in my native language Dutch, but also in English. I was taught to understand how different people perceive the same communication, depending on their motivations and background. In my masters I had another two years to perfect these skills and use them to write a thesis on improving literature education on Dutch high schools using the method of formative assessment. Throughout my studies I have worked as a proofreader for theses in all kinds of fields on a BA and a MA-level. On the side I have done some projects involving translation from Dutch to English and vice versa. Recently I joined a project where I support teachers in giving constructive feedback to high school students, concerning all their writing assignments. Based on this knowledge and experience, I offer services in proofreading, editing, copywriting, creative writing and translating.

Hi! I'm Christoph from the Netherlands! I'm 24 years old, and I'm currently based in Latin America. After graduating high school, I decided to travel the world. Now six years later, I find myself married and living in Latin America. In those past years, I've been working all across the world, doing a wide range of jobs. I would say I specialise primarily in the customer service and translation area, but I have also worked on many other skills. I am oriented toward satisfying customers and am very diplomatic in searching for solutions. I have proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a few organisational software such as Telespirit and Bananadesk. I have worked in the customer service industry for a long time now. Here I have gained a lot of experience with Zendesk, from knowing how to answer e-mails to learning how to set up the system. Besides that, I know how to work with Gorgias and G-Suite as mailing systems. I am also fully aware of all the functions Shopify has to offer! For languages, I am a native Dutch speaker, and I have perfect English, both spoken and written. After living in Latin America for a while, my Spanish has reached the level of being conversational, and due to my previous job in the Netherlands, I also learned basic German! I am available for translations between Dutch and English, and as my wife is a native Spanish speaker, I can also translate those languages to and from Spanish together with her!
