I only translate French to English. As a translator, this is the only type of employment for which I should be considered, as I am a native speaker of American English. The reason that I speak French, though I am not a native speaker of the language, is the result of COVID-19. From the outset of the prognosticated two-week period of isolation, and until I found work once again as a cook, I had distracted myself from the stress of pressing world events by immersing myself entirely in French. I went so far as to avoid my own native language at all costs with the goal of making something of that time. I made new accounts for everything, including news, entertainment, banking, social media and more, using a VPN to gain access to the most plentiful resources in which to immerse myself. I achieved a level of proficiency in French surpassing what most accomplish after many years of study. I have, thus, been in a nearly constant contact with this language for a stark majority of these last five years. I am highly skilled in proofreading and editing. I have little experience. I can not, unfortunately, evidence my skills in these regards in any way aside from the attention to grammar and syntax which I have carefully given this bio. If you consult me for the purposes of writing, proofreading, formatting or editing, I only work in English for reasons stated initially here. Due to my constrained financial situation and lack of experience, I hope to attract those with a desire for precise and uniquely styled language utilized strictly according to the purposes of their documents, projects and manuscripts.
