TEACHING/PROOFREADING/CONTENT WRITING The first thing to mention is my experience as an ESL teacher, both as a freelancer and for some reputable companies such as British Council, Apollo English and Keele University. Combining this with my disposition to throw myself 100% into whatever task is in front of me, I always felt the need to create personalised content for my students, giving me ample practice in many different writing styles. These include a vast range of forms including scripts, fake articles and short stories, even down to simple sample sentences focusing on a specific grammar points, poetry and idiomatic phrases. Through this work as an English teacher I have spent countless hours marking essays and high level exams and through my grammar studies during my Trinity College London CertTESOL I have become very proficient in the English language, making me an ideal proof-reader. As well as this, many of my learners have been university students or professionals writing articles and books outside the classroom. They always trusted me completely to proofread their work or personal statements and I always did with a smile. TRAVELLING/WRITING/OTHER SKILLS Over the last six years I have been almost continuously on the road, having worked in eight different countries on various continents and experienced 37 for at least a month or more, all the while writing almost daily in both a personal and professional capacity during the course of my travels. As you can imagine, this takes a tremendous amount of organisation, research and planning. Coupled with this it has helped me to develop excellent foresight and problem solving abilities. I pride myself on my ability to face a problem from a different angle, not seeing it as a problem but a puzzle waiting to be solved. I often impress people with my ability to navigate challenges using a different perspective with an optimistic ease. It's worth noting here that if you need a travel planner, then I am a master at finding deals in many areas such as flights and accommodation and often surprise people with experiences I manage to find that many had never even considered. Having once hiked unguided for weeks in the Hymalayas, enjoyed the luxury of beautiful beach huts not on Booking.com for half the price and twice the value of the sky-reaching hotels and even got a Truck Camper to drive across Canada for absolutely free (yes free), I have lots to share and I am here to help you discover experiences you didn't know you were missing out on. I can also help to save a few pennies to make your trip longer, to still have in your pocket when you get home, or even to continue this lifestyle and make the road your home for a while, whatever you need!
