With a strong customer service background and finely tuned multitasking, and problem solving skills, I plan to excel in my new endeavors. Prior to embarking on my new path, I spent several years as a restaurant operator. I spent time in General Manager positions in the Chicago market, operating a training facility and taking on under performing stores to bring them to acceptable performance levels. As a General Manager for Red Robin I held down one of their top performing restaurants in the Chicago market, increasing sales year over year and being the trial location for several company wide roll outs. I spent some time as owner/operator of my own catering operation before moving to Pennsylvania to be closer to family. Since relocating I've worked for various corporate operations, most notably opening the new Buffalo Wild Wings and Q'doba restaurants in Williamsport. I was most recently hired on as the General Manager for Moe's Southwest Grill to bring their Williamsport location up to expectations, but the store was ultimately closed due to coronavirus. With the entire restaurant industry struggling from the pandemic I decided it was time for a change. I decided to start an ecommerce retail business, which is up and running. However, the economy has had things moving more slowly than I'd like. I would like to keep at it, but need to branch out to make some more income. I would be extremely interested in freelance and contract remote work offering a flexible schedule, and utilizing my vast skills. If this were to lead to the right full time opportunity, I would be willing to discuss that when the time comes. If this sounds good to you, I'd love to chat. I entered the Technical Support field in 2020 because I saw an opportunity. My personal and professional interactions with technical support were sometimes "rough around the edges," and with my Soft Skills and 20-years of experience in Customer Service, I thought I could offer a more refined touch. After serving as an Application Support Analyst at Allegheny Health Network and Nemours Children's Hospital, I joined Oracle as a Support Analyst, completing a U.S. Department of Labor apprenticeship in Computer Support Specialist. In December 2023, I completed an IT Support bootcamp with Per Scholas Pittsburgh. A Pittsburgh native, I hold a Business Administration degree from Thiel College, where a work-study program at the MIMC & Audio-Visual Lab ignited my tech interest. In college, my involvement in the Thiel College Choir and Kappa Sigma Fraternity shaped my creative growth and philanthropy sense. My work-study at the MIMC & A-V Lab laid the foundation for my career. I learned about audio-visual setups, edited projects, and provided file conversion services. The lab served as a technology hub, offering equipment rentals for students and faculty. Emphasizing documentation for accountability and project tracking, this experience, initially undervalued, is now integral to my career. I'm grateful to mentors Leslie Graul and Erika Jones for their guidance. It stands as the most valuable part of my Thiel College experience, and one that I hold near and dear. Throughout my tenure and apprenticeship at Oracle, I gained valuable experience in a Managed Service Provider environment. In this role, I primarily assisted users with desktop support and offered secondary support for desktop and cloud applications. Employing effective troubleshooting methodologies, I managed a workload of 40-60 calls per shift. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including application analysts and engineers, I handled escalations and participated in collaborative efforts. The tools I relied on included Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), Knowledge-based articles, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), and a ticketing system. On the end-user client side, I became adept with systems such as Active Directory, Cerner Millennium apps, Citrix, Microsoft 365, Network Drives and files, Windows, and Windows Server. Notably, my first call resolution consistently ranked in the upper 20 percent or better for both desktop and application support, as well as in satisfaction surveys.TroubleshootingTechnical SupportCustomer ServiceTech & ITDatabase QueryEpic Systems Medical SoftwareOffice 365Remote Connection SupportTicketing SystemMicrosoft Active DirectoryHelp Desk Software - $100 hourly
