    I work as a full-time Automation Engineer and Consultant with +5 years experience in data science and mining, mobile and deb development, SCADA & HMI software development and PLC programming in sectors and industries such as engineering, IT, mining, food and beverage, aerospace, agriculture, waste water management and treatment. This means flexible production systems with the right level of IT and automation. Automation gives faster, safer production processes which are more efficient, flexible, reliable, sustainable and cost-effective. I have +5 years experience in computer engineering, automation, data science including data processing and modeling. Very skilled with web design (wordpress and SEO), application development and programming (C++, C#, Python, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Assembler, FDB, ST, IL and SFC). I do SCADA/HMI development (Adroit, Intouch, Citect, Vijeo designer and Factory Talk) and Network/Server and Database installation, configuration and administration (SQL & Microsoft server). Expertise in PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell) - process and instrumentation control and automation including P&IDs and PFD drawings . Just recently completed programming and installation of PLC/HMI based project for Denel (aerospace company). i automated their heating treatment plant so as to improve metal ductility, elasticity, formability, toughness, strength and hardness through various phases and stages such as cooling, annealing and tempering in a nutshell. Completed Advanced Process Control project at Buzwagi Gold Mine. the aim was to optimize high value assets such as grinding mill so as to achieve optimum operating point resulting in improved quality, throughput, energy saving, minimized downtime. the software implementation incorporated various machine learning algorithms for data mining, analyse, error correction and preventative maintenance. Advanced with micro-controller programming, IoT (internet of Things), IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and embedded systems. I have completed home automation system consisting of Arduino and Raspberry pi to control lighting, climate, entertainment systems, and appliances. It included home security such as access control and alarm systems using a Mobile App. Completed generator automation project by installing, configuring and programming deep sea controller which allowed the user to start and stop the generator and if required, transfer the load to the generator either manually or automatically during failover, or in the event of the module detecting a mains failure from SCADA PC station at Rand Water (water industry). I completed web based dynamic data reporting projects including dashboards, excel to compile/debug macros and add on VB functionality and implemented scripts to automate its content. Completed data analytic based projects incorporating Microsoft BI and SQL administration for reporting and KPI indicators. Implemented mining based planning system to help in planning, tracking and modeling monthly, yearly and daily production. Have implemented payroll and project management system incorporating Microsoft access database and excel scripting. And remote data logging. I have completed projects in Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) as a process control and instrumentation engineer, i have completed various projects including installation, programming, calibration and maintenance of level and flow meters such as Isonic and pulsar ultrasonic meters/sensors. Also experienced with MLSS (Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids) portable meter. And specialize in communication protocols such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Profinet, Profibus, CAN and Ethernet.
