Greetings and salutations! My name is Jerome Boateng. I started voice training during my sophomore year of college in 2016, with my professor Dr. Pollack. Soon after I began doing Color Commentary for love broadcasts of my school’s volleyball and basketball games. I was a Color Commentator until 2018 and in 2019 I started an internship at a radio station called Glory Communications. During my time at this internship, I voiced and edited several PSAs and Advertisements. Most of my scripts were pre-written, however I was allowed to edit the audio however I pleased. The 60-second “Radiothon” Ad it was written and voiced by both me and my partner Dedrick, and it is my personal favorite because of how much creative control we both had. I graduated from Benedict College in May, 2019, and I also worked as a call center representative for the OUR Florida Emergency Rental Assistance program, from May, of this year, to November. I made inbound and outbound calls to tenants and landlords who apply for emergency rental assistance, in the state of Florida. I am currently working as a content creator for Swish Hoop. Swish Hoop is a brand-new set of basketball training products that just became available. The owner of Swish Hoop, Steven Gordon, hired me to film interviews from basketball players and coaches, about the Swish Hoop products and how much they enjoy using them.

I have had over 15 years recording and performing music. From recording (or being involved in) numerous albums, to playing locals clubs such as The Masquerade and Clermont Lounge, the productivity dwindled pretty quick. Unfortunately the world changed during Covid along with everything else. I wanted to utilize my knowledge and passion in creativity, but didn't know where to go. I would like to think I have always been a decent speaker, like to read, and best of all I already had the equipment to get started. So a new hobby ensued. As of now I have three audiobooks on audible and do various freelance projects. I'm always excited for a new adventure and lets be honest, it is much more fun than any 9-5.
