I'm an English and Portuguese teacher, translator, editor and writer with a Master's degree in Literary Studies (2016 - English/North-American poetry and Philosophy) from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCAR) and a Bachelor's + Teaching degree in Linguistics (2013, English, Portuguese, Linguistics and Literature) from São Paulo State University (UNESP/FCLAR), Araraquara campus. I have a decade of experience teaching English and Portuguese both in private and public schools. One of my most important projects involved the evaluation and development of technical assessments for over 30 literary books from the PNLD 2018 and 2020 projects of the Ministry of Education (MEC) in Brazil. These projects consisted in analysing literary books according to specific MEC's PNLD (Courseware Program) guidelines. The approved books were then acquired by the federal government and sent to the libraries of public schools. I started my career at UNESP where I first worked as a volunteer English tutor in 2010 for the Modern Letters Laboratory (LEPLEM) and in 2011 I took part in a project from the Modern Letters department in which I taught English at public schools. In 2011 I also had a scholarship for working in the organization of the Fourth International Walt Whitman Week held at UNESP\FCLAR in July/2011. Since then, I work as a teacher and translator most of the time and I also have 3 years of experience as an independent online rater (videos, texts, images etc). I'm a fast-learner and always willing to improve my knowledge and skills. I currently work as a Portuguese teacher for High School students at E. E. João Batista de Oliveira in Araraquara - São Paulo, and as a freelance translator, editor and writer. In translation, I work both with English and Portuguese and my editing works involve mostly academic texts and analysing/correcting grammar, spelling, coherence and cohesion. In these cases, I adjust texts according to ABNT and APA standards too. More recently I worked on projects that required text creation and prompt optimization via Chat GPT.

I have a Master and PhD degrees in Linguistic and Portuguese. During my PhD part of the research was developed in New York at the Graduate Center of CUNY. In my PhD dissertation I focused on the study of musical film and cinema.
