Hi!
I am a 2022 graduate from Virginia Tech. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy with a minor in humanities, science, and environment. I am a detail-oriented person who is goal-driven. I enjoy research and am experienced in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research. In my studies at Virginia Tech and Virginia Tech’s Honors College, I have conducted individual and team research papers that include data collection through peer-reviewed sources, writing literature reviews, outlining research methods, and presenting my findings to an audience. I also have experience conducting interviews and creating surveys.
My philosophical concentration is primarily in philosophy of science, environmental ethics, and social change. Philosophy has fine-tuned my skills in critical thinking, data analysis, writing, editing, grammar, and organization. On average, I produced three papers per week for my major.
In my current work as a science researcher for a Texas-based author and public speaker, I research and collect information on topics such as history, science, and philosophy. I synthesize my findings into shared Google documents and Google spreadsheets for easy access and prepare outlines for each specific research topic.
I also work as a writer and podcast co-producer and researcher for an online audio and video media production company. I have identified myself as hard-working and a self-starter who is not afraid of a challenge. My work primarily consists of collecting online data on interviewed guests through different platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, personal websites, and blog posts and articles. I synthesize my findings into an organized report with detailed questions. On average, I produce about fifty questions per interview and catalog these questions based on content category and recent exciting information about the interviewed guest’s career.
Lastly, I am an educational video creator for a start-up knowledge-sharing app where I film two to four-minute videos on various philosophical topics. In this position, I utilize InShot and Canva for editing videos.
