    I have 30 years of experience writing successful grants as the head of Bright Ideas Schools. I have written scores of states, federal, and art grants for which many hundreds of thousands of dollars were awarded. I also managed each grant’s deadlines, budgets, reporting and compliance requirements. I wrote promotional material for advertisements, brochures, websites, and persuasive writing of all kinds for Bright Ideas Charter School. I also wrote policies and procedures, reports, budgets, compliance reports, and proposals. Research, editing, and proofreading are essential to quality copy. I used my skills to research why schools were failing and how to design a school that would encourage students to enjoy learning. I researched how to create a model to deliver students into any career they desired. I designed and developed a unique, high performance charter school in which 99% of our school’s graduates entered college before graduation. My persuasive and informative writing allowed me to create this school. I love solving problems of any kind to help people. In 1985, I designed and developed a school to rescue the bullied, gifted, and underserved children from public schools. In 30 years, 99% of our graduates attended college before graduation. Designing and developing this school required me to learn how to fix what’s wrong with our schools. I was called a pioneer at the time when my private school won a state charter to convert to a public charter school in 1998. When it closed in 2015, I looked for new problems to solve. Currently I write articles for websites and write copy and marketing emails. I write grants and help others write grants and proofread/edit others' writing.
