I can help with a range of creative problem-solving needs for your small to midsize nonprofit. My specialties include program development, outcome evaluation, grant writing, research and impact storytelling.
Whether you are just getting started as an organization and need help establishing a process to research and manage grant applications and awards, or if you work with an established organization with and need flexible writing support for complex state or federal grant applications, I am experienced and comfortable tackling any grant-related needs. I have crafted proposals, budgets, and made winning presentations to foundations and grantmakers.
I love data, research studies, logic models, outcome evaluation and impact measurement, and I really love helping others get comfortable articulating their organization’s results as compelling stories with numbers that demonstrate the power of their mission. With substantial experience in program evaluation and outcome measurement, I am happy to help you articulate the incredible work of your nonprofit organization into a compelling story that captures grant maker's attention and brings critical funds into your mission.
As an asset-based community development practitioner, I see complex social issues as a web of opportunities to support sustainable change through partnerships rather than problems that must be solved within the confines of “how things have always been done here”. I am a creative thinker and problem-solver.
After beginning my career helping formerly unhoused individuals and families stabilize and re-establish long-term affordable housing, I have had the privilege of serving a number of Central Florida nonprofit organizations with progressive demonstrated experience. I have educated business leaders about social issues, built cross-sectoral coalitions, designed and launched new programs, served as an executive director, and a little bit of everything in between. I have always gravitated toward roles where I can collaborate and learn more outside of my job description. I am equipped with knowledge in program management, outcome measurement, public speaking, legislative advocacy, newsletter writing, fundraising, strategic planning, budgeting and more.
Since completing graduate school, I have continued my education through conferences and completed trainings at the Edyth Bush Institute on executive management, impact reporting, and corporate sponsorship, as well as racial justice and equity-focused training with the Neighborworks Training Institute. I earned my Master of Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Stetson University with a major in Sociology where I received an undergraduate award for my research. I am passionate about affordable housing and improved social support through nonprofit work because I know firsthand how difficult life is without it, and I believe that no one should have to “choose” between necessities like food, shelter, physical safety, or healthcare access. I am a dedicated advocate and greatly enjoy working with nonprofits of all backgrounds and missions to help achieve their goals.
