This article is for an email newsletter for a UK travel insurance company. As such there are no SEO keyword requirements.
The newsletter tells readers about good places they can go on their holidays, to give them ideas and inspiration for their next trip.
SPECIFICS FOR THIS ARTICLE:
You MUST ONLY cover events taking place in the following countries, since this is where we insure travellers to go to:
Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Channel Islands, Croatia, Cyprus (but not Northern Cyprus), Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Macedonia, Montenegro, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine.
Can be male or female.
Mostly aged 60 to 79.
All live in the UK.
Usually spend a total of between £750 and £1,500 on booking their holiday (to include all the people travelling, not per person.)
Prefer to have the temperature on their holiday as between 20 – 25 degrees C, and some people prefer hotter, between 26 and 30 degrees C. Very few readers want anything colder or hotter than this.
Want to know about good places to go on holiday, and what they can see and do when they get there.
Travel for either one or two weeks.
Take a holiday of the following type (most popular first): sightseeing and culture, beach holiday, city break. Holidays can fall into more than one category, eg some days sight-seeing and some days on the beach.
Travel either on their own or with one other person (usually their spouse).
There should be no sales copy. This is not a sales piece, it is designed to give information.
Places should be presented in a flattering light (but comments warning the reader as to what they should be careful of, watch out for or avoid is fine.)
The tone of the piece should be conversational and cheerful, not stiff or formal.
Avoid the obvious! Our readers have travelled before.
Please don't use long fancy words that readers might not understand!
