I'm looking for an appointment setter for a growing startup.
Our brand is "smart", "results-driven", and non-pushy. We want our customer experience to be more "Apple Store" and less "used car lot".
Specifics of the job: initially, it will consist of a few days of cold-calling gatekeepers, trying to get conversations with decision-makers, then following a simple script. There will be rejection, but there's no sales pressure - it's a "win" if you complete the call, and represent us professionally.
If we find somebody good, the role could expand into follow-up with warm/"Glengarry" leads, and even "discovery calls" with interested prospects.
I'm most interested in somebody who sounds calm and reassuring on the phone, who quite frankly reads well and can read the script slowly/calmly/professionally without getting flustered, and who knows how to "slow down" the conversation and use his/her instincts if things go off-script.
If that sounds like you please send me a proposal! Bonus if you have any recordings of calls you'e made. Oh - lastly, I don't need a novel in the cover letter section. If you're astute, you can probably spot the "80/20" of what I'm looking for.
