Hi looking for a bit of Details on Benfits in useing lime putty ( non hydraulic) plasters grade and traditional grade ( having lumps and burnt peices non purified ) in Heritage work especially in warmer climate want work to relate to Australian Heritage especially Victoria ( state in Australia) 1800s buildings especially. If possible also why it is better to use non hydraulic lime ( lime putty ) compared to hydraulic lime ( NHL) or cement in heritage conservation works . Also need a brief write up on correct procedures for repointing heritage work .
