LectureSource, Inc.--https://lecturesource.net--is a start-up educational website for sharing college-level teaching materials created by professors. We need chemistry and physical sciences professors to help review and rate professor-created teaching materials.
The purpose of LectureSource is to provide a way for professors to earn money on the teaching materials that post to our website, and then subsequently sell to other professors looking for new material. This helps professors cut down on course prep and planning. It also promotes sharing ideas across institutions. We currently have over two-hundred professor-created materials in all course areas and are actively looking for more!
In order to promote professor-created materials on our website, we need reviewers to help give these materials short reviews and a star-rating so that professors looking for new material, will understand whether the material posted is worth buying and using in their course.
College level instructor, graduate student, or experience teaching at the college level.
This is an easy, one-hour job.
Choose 4 resources from our website to download and review. They must be in your academic teaching/course area.
We will pay $20 for 4 reviews plus reimbursement for the resources that you choose. Most resources are between $1-$5 each. Choose resources that you would consider using in your own course.
What we are looking for; 1-3 sentences that address one or more of the questions below:
1. After downloading this resource, would you use it in your course?
2. Do you recommend others to use this resource?
3. Easy or hard to adapt into your material?
4. Did it save you time?
5. What course or level is this material best suited for? (undergraduate, upper level, graduate
level, introductory course, remedial course)
We expect honesty but no derogatory, profane, or defamatory remarks about the author of the resource.
We will pay an extra $10 if you upload 2 of your own teaching materials to our website. As a start-up, we need reviews, users, and a variety of material to help promote the work of other professors, like you!
