We are hiring an experienced software developer to build out our ClojureScript/Re-frame single page application and do occasional updates to a Clojure back end which handles data ingest.
Our product provides a customized news and social media experience on TV screens within work environments. The user experience looks TV-like: large fonts, high contrast colors, animated transitions, lots of imagery and video. See (link removed) for more.
The application is fairly extensive, as we've been in the market for a few years now. There's lots to be done in terms of adding new features, improving reliability and performance, and evolving the overall application architecture.
This project is ~20 hours a week for starters and could easily grow into a full-time role, especially if you have the capability and desire to provide technical leadership.
You absolutely must be skilled with ClojureScript/Clojure and React (we use re-frame), comfortable writing high-quality code, and familiar with deploying into live production environments (Heroku, AWS). We really need someone who can jump into the deep end of the pool and be productive with our tech stack immediately, with little hand-holding.
Experience with re-frame, Python, Django, Postgres is a plus but not essential. Our middleware/API layer uses these technologies.
