Are you the next Customer Service Specialist to join our great international support team in the Philipines?

You can be a home mum or a student – everything is possible as long as you meet our requirements!
You will be providing superior service in English to our customers visiting the website– a world-wide document scanning service. The customer service is open 24/7 and we operate four shifts per day.

As a Customer Service Specialist you will be using the customer service tool LivePerson and be ready to do live chats and respond to e-mails. You will need to have a stable and fast internet connection in order for you to receive inbound calls from our VoIP phone system and register call summaries in LivePerson.

For this position we only recruit through oDesk


• serving customers by live chat, e-mail and phone.
• providing service and assisting customers in making a decision to
        sign up and make a purchase.
• solving customer’s problems or at least suggest some solutions.
• handling customer billing issues, complaints and reporting errors to
        the technical department.
• cultivating and bolstering the company’s image online.
• handling approximately 80-120 customers per each 8 hour shift.


• fluent in English, both verbal and in writing, and native English
        speakers are preferred.
• with a positive attitude, have an outgoing and service-minded
        personality and be highly motivated.
• good at problem solving and have strong communication skills.
• cheerful, energetic, organized, well-informed and be an adaptable
• fully capable of using LivePerson to handle inquiries and track all
• flexible with schedules and be available in shifts of 8 hours/day
        minimum 21 days a month.

As per agreed.

You will get paid for initial training and then only when handling live chats, e-mails and phone calls in LivePerson. You are free to do other work when you are idle. scanningjames will only pay the contractor for the actual live chats, email or calls handled. Shifts when idle will not be paid for.

Time tracking is done by using the oDesk Team App. Payment is based entirely on your time tracking and is done weekly though oDesk.

When you qualify and apply for the job you will be invited to do a verbal English interview test on Skype.
