I need an excel macro that references a named range or list and finds then clears cells that contain the items in that list on another tab.
In the example file, you will see on the "Names" tab there are roughly 13k rows of data. On the List tab are the values I want to find on the "Names" tab and clear the contents of cells that contain only those items.
Macro references list
Finds all values matching the list in the entire sheet of "Names"
Clears the contents of all cells with matching contents of the list.
I was trying to do this with simple conditional formatting and a simple macro but was not having any success. I would like this to be completed without conditional formatting and only a macro.
I need this spreadsheet to be reusable for new data sources. I want to be able to load new data into the "Names" tab and have it reference all of the items on the "List" table. I also want to be able to add and remove items from the list to be found by the macro.
