(If you applied for this job before, apply again as I accidentally deleted the job post and lost candidates whom I shortlisted)
I am looking for a proofreader/editor who has an excellent command of English.
I will submit a few short articles to you (500-800 words) these articles will have already been edited for sentence structure etc. However, I would like you to edit it for grammatical errors. To be honest, its been a very, very long time since I reviewed were to chuck in commas, semi-colons etc haha so I'd like you to correct me if you see I have made a mistake.
I'd like you to go over the articles via google docs and where ever you see a punctuation error or grammatical error then insert a comment and indicate why its wrong (correct it as well)
I imagine this job should take no more than 20 minutes as the editing will pretty much already be done. So, try and base your rate on the time it takes for you to complete the job.
The number of articles: Right now I may send maybe 1 to 2 articles to see how it goes. So, perhaps I could do $10 for all 2 articles at a fixed price. Or if you want to get paid by the hour then let me know your hourly rate :)
your rate does do not have to be at the fixed price. If you are highly experienced and have a degree in journalism or have been an editor for some company then you can bid higher.
The job will start sometime next week. It can be an ongoing project as there are some weeks where I get bombarded with work and may not be able to do all the reading myself.
The goal of this job is to kinda spot the mistakes I may miss and to spot my silly punctuation errors
Insert " I love doggies" with your cover letter so I know you've read the job post
I am willing to pay higher rates for the most experienced freelancers
