Killthekite.com, and killthekite.com/chat, are self-destructing communication platforms for sending messages such as emails and real-time chat. The platform is designed to provide privacy and anonymity.
We are about to develop a Facebook app for killthekite - both the messaging component and the app. We are looking for someone who can think about the app strategically on Facebook - for example, we have decided that we will give the app away for free and only charge businesses for "white label" use (which means we would customize the app so it can be used internally at a company), and we are looking for someone who knows Facebook app's very well and can recommend an implementation strategy that will help us successfully market the app within FB itself.
We are considering an advertising option (FB requires using one of the approved companies here: developers.facebook.com/adproviders). Advertising is not an important part of the business to us, but intelligent recommendations will score points for candidatees.
We have a developer hired already, so we only need to provide the requirements documentation so that he can build the entire app from the instructions provided. We understand that there are decisions that need to be made about, these include:
1. Canvas Page App - we think this is the best choice for our app, but your feedback is welcome.
2. Channels - FB has a variety of channels that I expect you to be familiar with, and the winning applicant will recommend an intelligent Channel strategy to drive our promotional efforts.
3. Analytics - we will want to know data about usage, The winning applicant will recommend an intelligent Analytics strategy.
To summarize, we are looking for someone to write a strategic software requirements document for our FB apps. The winning candidate will have thought about our needs and summarized their unique strategic vision in their cover letter. Not including this unique strategic vision will render your application unlikely to be selected. The deliverable can be more informal than formal - our developer is expecting just a few pages of instruction or perhaps just an email. However, we want to be more formal than an instruction email but this does not need to be as formal as a company like Oracle would do internally. The project does not need to have more than 20 - 30 hours. I was going to do this in about 5-10 hours myself. So let's say 20 hours is the target amount of time.
