Facebook Connect API expert needed for adding Facebook Connect to an existing site. The first requirement is allowing new users to register utilizing their existing FB user info. The key part of the second requirement is how each user's friends are captured, stored and displayed on the site.
BizConnectin is a leads and social networking site for small business owners, employees and potential customers. Each business can set-up a profile (this part of the solution is in place). I would like the FB Connect to work that anyone can "Connect" with a business's profile (similar to Like). The key is that when a user "Connects" with a business's profile, that the user and their friends are now stored and attached to that profile. When a new consumer goes to that business profile and they are logged in with FB Connect, an area on the business's profile will display if any of their user's are also connected to the business's profile (attachment shows how I though it could look). This will allow the consumer to see if any of their friends or friends of their friends are connected to the business. Now the consumer can get a personal recommendation from someone they know, who also knows the business. This is very similar to Linkedin where you can view if you have any common connections with the person's profile you are viewing, then you can request an introduction. The functionality is similar, except that instead of asking for an introduction, our solution will allow for a consumer to ask for a recommendation or ask a specific question about the business.
Here is a link to a sample business profile page without the Facebook Connect functionality:
I have also attached a screenshot with this same profile, but with the Facebook Connect Functionality sample layout I would like added.
BizConnectin.com was set-up by a developer who cannot do this work for several months due to personal commitments. I am not technical, my background is business, so I'm looking for someone who can make these improvements from start to finish. I currently have the solution hosted by Amazon's AWS service.
If you have done this type of work before, I would like to see some samples of this type of integration.
Here are the basic steps need for adding Facebook Connect API added to BizConnectin. These are not the exact steps in order to make it functional, just the basic steps for collecting the data.
1. Add Facebook Connect to the new member registration.
2. When the new member registers with Facebook (consumer, business or recruiter), then we will capture all available data, pre-populate that member’s profile and store their friends in our database.
3. When a member or visitor (someone who has not registered as a member yet), visits a business’s profile page, then the solution will automatically pull from the business’s Facebook friends and the member’s friends and then display the common connections per the screenshot samples. If a visitor is not logged in a member, they should be prompted to login with their Facebook info in order to see common connections.
4. The other way that a business profile can get new connections is with the “credibility connections”. On each profile, there will need to be a “Connect” button. This is for members or visitors to directly connect with that business. These connections will also be displayed on the business’s profile per the screenshot samples.
